Getting all live talking the game we love.

Better late than never news #3- Abner Preis AKA Eat Shit Smile!

Sometimes you can bullshit other people, sometimes, more often you can bullshit yourself. So i wont even really try to express some art talk in this, all the ideas that cant really be distilled anyway, no matter who is expressing them.
Abner is from Philly, i am from NYC, aside from the few debates we have about teams that neither of us really follow anymore, things go easy.
His show was a mix of art, people, and live performance. Abner has a rare way of mixing people up, not just the heads that show up to every event, but wired fuck off people that you never saw before, a rare talent in Amsterdam's fishbowl scene vibe.
His show consisted of a series of pen drawings challenging todays hero value system, asking the simple question, "why"? As well as "letters home from the war", by CRPL. Eat Shit, a series of sketches/words, based on real letters home from this fucked up sandbox situation.

Nice things in rain, a lot of rain.

Better late than never news #2- Galo

Its weird how sometimes you chase people to work with them, and other people you just end up working with out of a natural progression. For me and Galo, our show together was a easy fix from hanging out all the time and going nuts in the rain soaked Amsterdam environment. We found even ground over substance and insanity, a show was the next logical step. Galo had been working on a new style of his art around the time of his show, and this was the culmination of that style in to a complete show. More interconnected than his older work, more fluid and psychedelic it was the next step for him, and we were happy to be there to see it happen. His art is all over the XXX and definitely part of the core scene of artists that are making moves to make the dream real. Check him out at Www.Galoart.net

Better late than never news #1- The one and only MORCKY

When i first moved to XXX i got in to this huge fucking accident on my vespa, i was lucky to be alive, much less only a little hurt. So I'm in the shop after a long day of building and sawing, banged out of my mind on pain killers, it was the first time i met MORCKY. He came over after my third of fourth beer and i was out of it! We talked for a while and it seemed like we were not going to see eye to eye, life does not always work out, Italian American international relations were not tip top that day. A month later we met up randomly and jived over joints and beers and talk of life, its then that he agreed to paint the "Morcky Time" painting for the shop(red painting), and that led to our second Wolf and Pack show, his first solo presentation of his work. Sometimes fate works backwards, its fun when it ends up working for you. Check him out at Twothings.net!

Fresh off the plane, Ko Nichi Wa Bitches!
